‘Why’ is the most powerful tool for learning we possess.  Accurate knowledge grants power for success, and if any line of thought cannot stand up to vigorous examination then we should discard it in favor of an option that fares better.  In the modern interconnected world it is no longer acceptable to do things simply ‘because’, or to base actions on foundations of unsubstantiated claims.  Good intentions are not enough; we must exercise care to ensure that our means are actually capable of achieving our goals, and without dangerous unintended consequences.  Heroes with sharp logic and a willingness to critically examine all aspects of their world will find themselves more capable of facing any challenge.
